Togus VA Hospital Emergency Department Updates

Togus VA Hospital Emergency Department’s transport guidance has been updated to reflect the new PL Tone (107.2) for the Emergency Department radio operations. Please contact melissa.f.adams@maine.gov if you need the entire guidance document.

Feedback from Dr. Liscord has been overwhelmingly positive about clinicians calling in advance to ensure the appropriate patients are transported to Togus VA Hospital's Emergency Department for care, minimizing the need to coordinate a transfer to another facility. Please continue to prioritize this conversation early when making transport decisions for eligible patients.

A six-month check-in to review EMS Clinicians' experience transporting eligible patients to Togus VA and the hospital's experience receiving these patients is scheduled for October 13, 9:00-10:00 a.m. This meeting is virtual only.
