Fair Winds and Following Seas to Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Calloway

Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Cherry Point bid Fair Winds and Following Seas to Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Dru Calloway in early September 2026. Calloway served as the leading petty officer of the facility’s Laboratory Department.

During his time at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, he led a team responsible for ensuring the medical readiness of Marines assigned to the base through the collection of more than 250,000 blood and other biological samples, resulting in quick, accurate diagnoses and prompt treatment. He also led the department through two College of American Pathologists re-accreditations with a 99.9% pass rate.

Calloway received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal in recognition of his accomplishments.
